Customer Reviews
I have had this drive about 10 months now...it was easy to use right out of the box...plugged it in, connected the USB cable....fired up the computer, turned on the drive, and there it was: ''SEAGATE DISC'..DRIVE G.....DONE! No formatting, special software, nothing. I just dragged and dropped files into the drive window (pictures & music) and there they were. The biggest feature is the ON/OFF button in the rear of the unit, I just turn it on when I need it and there it is. My son is leaving for college and needed more hard drive space for his laptop and all the smaller portable drives need 2 USB ports to operate correctly (only 2 on the laptop and I read about people that had problems running these drives from a powered USB hub and had to use the ones on the laptop) so I went with a proven winner...buy one before they are all gone...I paid over twice this price!
I was a bit concerned about this working on a Mac, but my MacBook recognized it with no configuration or formatting.
The power button is a nice feature.
A very quiet, simple drive. Good brand.
