I'd rate this one with 4 stars as I think Xandros Business Edition 3.0 and Xandros Professional rate a higher score but also command a higher price. These two versions are available from Xandros and come with their own free renewable Antivirus, Adware and File Protection system. You can also install them to as many personal computers as you own as well as 1 business computer. All these versions can repartition, reformat, install all your hardware drivers including any necessary Raid or Sata drivers. These OS's see all your hardware and install drivers automatically, Xandros makes a great OS in whatever version you choose. |

Installs easily beside Windows 98 (FAT 32) or Windows XP (NTFS). Excellent recognition of all of the contents of the ''C'' drive. Files can be moved easily between the two systems :-) Competitive with the current Windows releases. |

Xandros OS is a good buy. i love the desktop graphics option. Installing web cams can be very tricky even for compatable models.Tech support could be quicker for new users....3 stars..five when i get the hang of things |

This OS is great. Installed itself, created a dual boot so that Windows is still available. It found all devices, except printer drivers. From info on LINUX sites, HP printers are the only ones really supported by this OS. That is the only drawback, my CANON will print text but not graphics or pictures |

well wasn't a bad o/s for the price, and i've heard a lot of good things about this o/s so i figured i would take a look at it, but when i tried to install it, it didn't except my hard drive so this is the only reason i give it a 3 but when i get it running i'll be sure to re-rate it! everyone deserves a ''do over'' !!!!
but make sure all of your devices are pretty up to date. |
