Asus support is the worst motherboard support I have ever seen.
Fist the support phone number imprinted on the box is disconnected!
And the motherboard just went dead on me after 2 years of use. No over clocking or anything of sort.
Tried calling customer support, they leave me on hold for 20 something minutes without anyone answering... This is preposterous.
I WILL NEVER BUY ASUS AGAIN.

If youre going to invest the money dont get cheap garbage for the rest of your build! Do your research before picking the other components. Most issues Ive seen about Asus boards/new builds in general I chalk up to technical experience & lack of research. You DO get what you pay for. Got this board with an AMD X2 6400+ and 2 gigs of OCZ 6400 Ram about 6 months ago. This board is a rock. Add 2 good video cards and youve got a gaming/multi-media powerhouse! Much thanks Tiger!

AMD 6400 Blk Dual core, 4gigs of Nvidia sli ocz ram, xfx8800gts x2, seagate 320 x2, 24in wide srceen 1920x1200, 800w psu, This board has had a few Bios upgrades in the last year, But is done very eazy compared to others. The sound onboard is crappy and many mic issues with volume but it works. With that being said this baord ROCKS it shreads everything with eazy. Heavy gamer and I run everything wide open all the time. Enabling sli ram in bios cause issues/crashs tryed everything no go dont know why. Eazly clocks and report correctly. No real complaints here all is good. built many machines in my day. Good board!

Update: Year later junk! ASUS use to be top line now it's about top junk. Really for the price and life span of the board I would rather have a ecs board anyday for the price and now since they step it up on there products. They need to make boards like back in the day I have a 8 year old ASUS Board with a k8 AMD and to this day blow the dust off and it will run like a champ. More money less quality = Sad

Excellent board. I have 2 of these, and they're great. For those complaining about the sata ports when using 2 video cards, Asus does provide right angle sata cables if the board is purchased new. I agree the ram can be an issue, but just read up. The bios is easy, and Asus is very reliable.

First off, in response to Gudz; I have this board with the Ultra X3 800W and have had nothing but sweetness. In addition, as ANY gamer should know, the best sound is a dedicated soundcard, not the onboard. I am running this board with a 5k BE @ 3120 (201X15.5 w/ default voltage) with a Zalman 9700 hsf. I have no issues at all and it screams sweetness. As for its performance, with an 8800GT stock clocked I get 91 frames in COD4 on high.

I had this board for a little more then a year and in the beginning i had nothing but trouble because i was using an ultra ps which dont get a ultra or vantec ps because it will fry the sound, network cards including wireless and probbably many more ports so if you get this board i recommend a thermal take ps and its super overclockable im running ocz 2 gigs 2x1 gig sticks 800mhz, AMD athlon 64x2 5000+ at 2.6ghz, EVGA 7300 PCI-E with 512mb of onboard memory, seagate 500 gig hdd (Sata), and dual liteon DVD burners(Sata) and the raidmax smilodon case. all in all great mobo i def recomend it its such an awsome board.

I have no complaints about this motherboard! Everything works GREAT. Asus has always been top of the line when it comes to motherboards. This has all the features that a gamer should have. Great price to that u cant beat. Remember for those who dont understand about 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP, 32-bit supports up to 3.25 GB of ram, 64-bit supports up to 128 GB of ram.
