Literally plug and play. Needed it to use in line with a router to hook up computers upstairs in the house. Don't like to use Wifi if avoidable. Arrived very quickly o regular shipping. |

I already owned one of these switches so I knew what I was getting into when I bought these. I recently purchased a house and rather than putting multiple LAN ports in each room I decided to use a single unmanaged switch in nearly every room in the house. So the configuration is simple line in to the modem, which connects to my router (DGL 4300), which connects to a 16port switch (DGS-1016D). A single LAN connection runs up through the walls to each individual room in the house (living Room, Dining room, Kitchen, and Three bedrooms) out of the wall connection I connect to these switches all of my devices. Right now I only own three of these because I only need multiple connections in three of the rooms. Long story short these switches just work, you don't need to do a thing just plug them in and go. I love them and their small footprint makes them nearly unnoticeable in the rooms. If you need a switch look no further. |

This is my third DGS-2205 in my house. Super quiet, and I have not noticed any uptick in energy fees. I just wish Comcast was now as fast as my home network! |
