Extra features don't completely work
I'm sure this is a great BluRay player, not the reason I purchased it though. I got the RROD on my xbox360 and YLOD on my PS3 in one week so i needed a media player. This was on sale for $80 so i bought it. If you are looking for a media player, i would not recommend this one. It did not play 90% of the files i had on my media share because of the video format. I tried to use a USB and it requires FAT32 formatting on the drive you use to plug into the usb slot. Since it barely played any of the files on my media share, i did not even attempt to reformat my drive then put the files back onto it. I returned this and bought a Roku. Still a few issues with some media files, but nowhere near as bad as the Sony BluRay player. The Media applications and the BluRay worked perfectly on this device - no complaints about that at all.

No regrets - Great unit!
This unit retailed for $249 new and I got it leftover for $99. It would have been a decent deal for $249, for $99 it was the best electronics purchase I've ever made. Full features, great performance, very compact and eay tp use. The DVD upscaling and online streaming content are superb. It also handles disks that are scratched better than most players.

Excellent Blu-Ray player at an exceptional price!
Needed a DVD player for an event, decided on this one for use after the event because of its many features. Chose Sony because they invented Blu-ray. Works great with Netflix and other online services. Simple, intuitive set-up. Integrates very well with my 2 year old Toshiba flat screen TV. Has component and composite outputs in addition to HDMI allowing me to connect it to a recorder. My wife finds accessing Netflix through the Sony much simpler than through the TiVo. I thought I got mine at a bargain price of $124.99; now it's a steal at $99.99.

excellent product
Setup is very easy and the picture is astounding. Has built in wifi with hulu, youtube, netflix, etc.. built in. And as always this site has it shipped to you almost instantly.
