Needed to replace my earlier card from this manufacturer that bellied-up so went with this one.
Unable to use it for 3D graphics because it will not support MaxSimultaneousTextures of 8, only does 6.
Shame. All my software in on this computer. Will move to backup and run with a manufacturer that does.
Guess my gripe is that the site's documentation does not address this issue.

I have had this card on one of my computers since 2004 and it has NEVER let me down. Of course it wont run the higher-demanding newest games, but it is capable of running FEAR on low settings. I use it primarily for CS and CSS, with the occasional Oblivion run and it is just perfect for those.
5 years now and no problems. |

This card in not cabable of allowing you to have you screen streatched accross two monitors without streatching the start bar. This means you will maximize accross both monitors. Or clone mode. |

EG:for the first week and a half it worked great, and was only able to run bf2 on low settings with no AA or AF, 800x600, after that week, my screen started getting all these colors, and the card locked up, it even crashed bf2 acouple of times!
..........................Sorry but you just got a bad card ...it happens . I have been running my card for over 2 years or so and absolutely NO problems ...excellent card for VGA ...highly reccomend it .....only running a 3.2 2gig 6 HD's 2 DVDRW's and 1 printer with a 21'' Flat screen .....ASUS....my buddy bought 1 as well and again the same result .....Haven't found a program yet I can't run . All games run in medium graphics at 1024X768 32 bit. The only way that I would NOT recommend it is if you need a PCIe card ..... |

Card arrived promptly but opened the box and lo and behold it is an X1050/256MB card instead. A little slip of paper says they have upgraded the card for their valued customer. Normally would be great, except that the card needs a 300W power supply and the old Dell Dimension 4600 only has a 250W power supply. So back it goes to Tiger Direct. Not Tiger Direct's fault but for those of you really wanting an old lower power card, beware. |

i recently bought this card, the HIS version to give some life and play a few games on my old AGP pro gaming rig, from 2003, so i thought it would work excellent, for the first week and a half it worked great, and was only able to run bf2 on low settings with no AA or AF, 800x600, after that week, my screen started getting all these colors, and the card locked up, it even crashed bf2 acouple of times! garbage from both HIS and DIAMOND, the core clock is 200mhz, while the memory clock is 200mhz also, and my pc was highest AGP rig there can be, so now im going to upgrade to PCIe and 2 kfa2 8800 gt overclocked, my pc specs right now are : p4q8x asus mobo,
300w PSU, pentium 4 @2.66/2.67, 80gb hdd, and this garbage junky video card that makes my computer look bad, sorry HIS / DIAMOND.. :( |

Works great. I've been using for 6 months with zero problems. I purchased it to upgrade my Dell Dimension 4500 to be able to run Vista. For the money, nothing else came close. Zero problems and very happy with the product. |

defenetly a good choice its a quiet running video card 1 of the best ive ran so far

I found out the hard way that their one year warranty means they only exchange their garbage one time within the year. After that there is no warranty.
The card worked fine for five months then my computer would randomly shut down and after the restart, Windows would say I had a video card mishap.
I had to pay shipping ($9.00) back to them PLUS a $9.50 U.S. handleing fee to get a replacement. They sent an ATI X1050 in its place. That card worked for 2 months. When I called them about replacing this card I was told I was out of luck. My warranty does not expire for another mont yet!
Never buy another Diamond product again! |

I bought this card from Tigerdirect.com and for the 39 dollar price tag it works excellant. I used the install cd and then went to manufatuers site got the 2008 drivers and it works perfect on the DVI out. hooked to analog had no problems. great Value on this card worth the money. if your tight on buget this is a good fix card. great upgrade for an older computer with AGP slot and a slower card. |
