Great machine for the money!
I looked for months to find a 17 inch laptop with a decent video card for under $1000. I finally landed on this one, and am very pleased with my purchase. I've been running Diablo 3 with fairly high settings, experiencing the occasional slow-down when I get mobbed, but other than that, no issues. Videos look great, and the performance (even wireless) is very good. The only thing I would prefer would be a back-lit keyboard, for typing while watching TV. Other than that, no complaints. Thanks!

A- Grade for Asus
The laptop is very good considering it's price. To get optimum speed you will need to get another 4gb stick to throw in. It's not as fast as I hoped, but the specifications and features can't be beat at this price. Good sturdy laptop

Great value
I would be mighty surprised if you could find a laptop of this quality for under a thousand dollars. Is it the fastest bestest machine ever? Of course not, but it is great for what it is: A cheap but solid machine, with a nice big screen for video entertainment. And as long as everyone else is mentioning it: It sure does run cool, or at any rate, the top always stays cool.
