Works great, however lid of kettle a problem
This is a great kettle however, the lid has never functioned properly. The release mechanism fails to function properly requiring the user to use a flat object to assist in opening the lid. It appears as though the latches catch on the inner lip of the metal kettle top. This appears to be a manufactures defect. I would have easily rated this a five star appliance if not for this defect. quick and hot
price was least expensive found online for this item, heats up quickly and is easy to clean, although too bad you can't put it in the dishwasher. Very convenient to heat up water for tea kettle, and because you can see inside, you know when it gets dirty or crusty, which it rarely does. It shipped more quickly than expected, looks great on my counter.
