Hopefully they made some changes

I have always purchased ASUS motherboards. I have been building computers for almost 30 years. The first board that showed up was DOA. Sent it back for a second board. It fired up alright but as soon as I tried to update the bios it died too. ASUS sent me a 3rd board. It started up fine but I am afraid to update the bios in case it also dies. When it's running, it is a nice machine. The only problems that I have with it is that it won't shut down and every day I need to reset the machine so that I get my USB ports back. When I get some money together I'll be replacing this motherboard.

Great board

At first it didn't recognize some of my memory which seems to be the case below. After I updated the BIOS I was good to go. After installing all the software I ran the Auto Tune and overclocked my PC by 40% Blazing fast except boot time but that is because of my slow hard drive. New SSD HD on the way!

Great product, good price!

Got mine quickly and installed it with no problems. I'm using 8GB Patriot 2400MHZ RAM, 512 GB SSHD, 3TB HD, and MSI Radeon 7770 Video card. Everything works great together. I've got 3.6 GHZ quad core cpu OC'ed to 4 GHZ with thermaltake liquid cooler. Everything works great together. Board is super fast and cheaper than other boards with the same spoecs.

Bad dram controller?!?!

After spending a day attempting to the mobo to pass the dram post test, A call to Asus tech support ended in the advice that the ram controller was bad and to send the modo back. I attempted to use brands PNY 4GB 1333, Corsair 4Gb 1333, Corsair Vengance 4Gb 1600, G Skill 2gb 1333, and Patriot 4gb 1866 non passed post DRAM test

Memory Problems

Got the first board in and installed 32mb of memory. I read and made sure the memory was compatible. The board only recognized 16mb. Was showing errors in the bios. Contacted Asus and did a few tests and nothing worked. Sent the board back and they replaced it. New board only recognizes 24mb of memory. Showing errors on different channels. Looked up the motherboard on google and found out that this is a common problem with this motherboard. Dont know if its going to be worth it to try another one.
