Pro's & Cons
Many rumors could be wrong. I installed an FX 8350 CPU,it is on the compatibility list. I used the Cooler master V8 heat sink,8Gigs of G Skill Rampage 1866Mhz Ram. The 8350 supports 1866 Ram by default. Anything over that will have to be an OC setting. I have no intention of OC this Mobo. I've read that if you OC the CPU to 4.4Ghz it will pull up to 400W at full load. This could burn out Mobo components. When you OC it's your risk. My idle temp is 45C. The max temp is rated at 70C. There are 2 of these Mobo's the new one is Gen 3 PCIE 3.0 compliant. Some people believe the Stock Heat sink is good enough for the 8350. I don't think so. I used the V8. My temp has not gone above 52C. It also depends on good ventilation & room temp. 2 G Force 280's in SLI Mode & twin 10,000 RPM Raptor HD's in Raid 0. So far,it's running great. I think overclocking it will cause the problems you read about. Good luck :)

Great board, when it works
Bought this board as part of a new system I built for myself for Christmas. It was a great fast board while it lasted, which was all of 6 months. Ordered a replacement board which was DOA out of the box. I've read reviews online where some people say this board isn't recommended with an 8-core CPU, which is what I have.

great mobo
I got this as part of a barebone kit paired with an AMD FX-6100cpu It runs great and quit fast. I have purchased sveral MSI Mobo and am happy with the brand and quality. The only thing I did not like is that it has no graphic onboard, but no biggie I had one on order, just didnt come in on time

awesome
this motherboard is the best you can get for 80 bucks. msi oc genie is a great overclocker if your not comfortable boing it yourself and the system temps stay cool and all the fans are quiet. love this and plan on keeping it for a long time.
