Gigabyte is the only game in town!
I've installed over 200 Gigabyte motherboards in systems I've built. I wish I owned stock in them.... Hahahaha! I've never had a Gigabyte product fail, EVER! In a market where a 5% failure rate is deemed acceptable and yet never having one fail, you simply can't go wrong. I've used MSI, Biostar, ASUS and Gigabyte motherboards and hands-down, Gigabyte makes the best motherboards in the world. I will NEVER buy a different brand and will use any opportunity to rate them so others will enjoy one too. Great job Gigabyte!

I purchased this motherboard to upgrade my system from a Gigabyte 770 series board, so that I could run my new FX 6100 series cpu.

Not happy
Installed the system board with an FX processor, everything ran fine until last Friday. Machine locked up, could not do a soft shutdown. Flipped the power switch to reboot, now it can't even P.O.S.T. aka dead. Was looking forward to filling it to 32G RAM, but looks like that idea is out the window.

Pleasantly pleased!
I had never used Gigabyte brand before. I carefully read the box this motherboard came in. It states solid ALL Japanese capacitors (Many brands use partially solid capacitors) and a newly designed plastic board that's one of the sturdiest types I've ever seen. So far, it works like a dream! No problems, issues, hiccups or anything. You power it up, it just does what it's supposed to do. Very fast, very efficient. I almost bought an updated version of another brand, but glad I tried this new brand. A lot of new bells and whistles that I might not use, but still great to know it's there if I need it.

GIGABYTE 970A-D3 (review)
Great motherboard, only thing I wish it had was pci-e 3.0 instead of 2.0, it has a lot of features in the bios setup. im using a phenom 2.70GHz with this and DDR3-1600 8gig's. can't wait to try an FX cpu with it. They sent me rev. 3.0 which is the latest one for this board. no problems just great.
