TP-Link Switch
I have always found TP LINK equipment very reasonable and trouble free. You can use any port as a up link, therefore technically it is a 4 port switch, not 5. I consider a 5 port switch to be 5 spare ports and one for the up link.I would have liked it to have a 1G indicator light on the switch but your lan network card will light will be green with a 100M and amber for a 1G signal. This switched worked fine for $20.

This thing rocks out!!
The transfer speed if F'ing phenomenal. Local file transfer is so fast I sometimes am done grabbing a file off my server before my workstation is finished booting uo. But seriously if you don't have gig connections it makes using your home network feel like work.

Good switch
Using to connect my lan which has a couple servers and several computers including a raspberry pi running xbmc and streaming from a samba share, as well as an internet connected TV running wired to the switch. The Gig speeds are nice for the wife who does a lot of work on files located on the Samba share. I gave it a 3 for Features because although its an unmanaged switch so there really aren't many features, most unmanaged switches at least have a different color link light for the interfaces to indicate whether its connected at 100 or 1000Mb. This one just has a single color link light so you need to check the Interface on the connected machine to ensure it has negotiated to 1000 Mb.
