came quick and easy to assemble
I needed something fairly quickly and versatile since I had several previously used hard drives. Assembly was easy, though it was a bit awkward with some of the screws because they didn't all fit the drives holes. I like the versatility with the standard and SATA connections, as well as decent price. I would recommend this to a friend.

I won't buy this again
The unit works OK. but nothing lines up when your installing the screws for the hard drive or when your putting the case back together. It's poorly constructed

Masscool
Not really too bad, snug fit just watch how you mount the hard drive inside. The holes for the enclosure screws could be better aligned, but you can make it work with a little patience.

Junk
In short it's poorly constructed and noisy. Hooked up an ide drive and it wouldn't read the drive, tried a sata drive and it worked. Checked out supplied ide cable and it was crimped wrong so I cut off the bad connector and replaced it. The drive now was reading but would cut out and shut down during operation. Found the power cable was also assembled poorly, took it out and repaired it. Still not working 100% so I took the board out and fixed a cold solder on a cap. So it's working now but the case makes the drive sound like an echo chamber. Tomorrow I'll need to figure out how to buffer the case. I wouldn't had gone through the trouble I did but I needed this thing and waited a week to receive it.

needed something fast !
the wifes ancient computer containing all the pictures of her kids growing up and her late husband were all on the hard drive and needed to retrieve them this product did an excellent job and can be used with the newer hard drives aswell so we are keeping it handy ..

Screwy
The four thumbscrews they included for securing the drive inside the enclosure won't thread into the (Seagate 2TB) drive I am using this for, so the only way I could prevent that HDD from sliding around inside the enclosure was to pad the space inside with aluminum foil! Then, to top it off, the external thumbscrews holding the cover on wouldn't thread back in properly. Absolutely would not buy this product again.

Great Value
It took about ten minutes to remove my hard drive from my old tower and set it up in the enclosure. It worked great from the start and I'm not a technician. The price was very low and the product was excellent
