Right out of the box it does what it should. I paired it with free WD edition software( from a company that I'm probably not allowed to mention) and I'm in total control.

All it should be !
A really plug-and-play item - worked perfectly right out of the box. Only wish it had an on-off power switch so it could be turned off when not in use. Good value and nice and quiet too...
