I have had this monitor for almost 2 years now. Handles everything i can through at it. Bright colors and no glitching or lag when using onboard or the 3870 graphics card. a best buy if you can find it for under $200.00. |

This is without question the best monitor in the business. And TIGER a super place to shop. oh yeah i dont work for either 1 of the companies! |

The transaction for buying and shipping of the monitor went throught smoothly...I was very happy with it until it started ''white screening'' about 29 days after the ''buy-date''...Couldn't return it to tigerdirect...Called Samsung, customer rep immediately scheduled replacement...Unfortunately, 3 days later, I was told the monitor was out of stock and offered a (1) refurbished 204 B (2) new 226BW (3) repair of my monitor...
I opted for (1) as I wanted a monitor pronto and 226BW does not have the resolution I wanted...
So, overall user satisfaction is OK but it died and they gave me on OLD one... |

Very happy with this purchase.
Then it gain a whole dead line.
I was going to fit out our whole CAD Department with these (15 in all), but I have decided against that for quality reasons.
Happy with price and performance. Longevity however leaves something to be desired.
Buy to use, with the fact you will be hard pushed to get more than 12-18 months out of it. |

This review is more about the problems you may run into if you get a defective unit than the monitor itself. It took me a few weeks to get all the parts for a new PC, so by the time I got around to testing the monitor, Tiger's 30 day return had expired. Lesson #1, check any new products from TD right away. Samsung told me I only had 30 days to get a new unit but changed it to 90 days after a heated phone call. They agreed to ship me a NEW unit on 6/9. FYI,after 90 days refurb is the only option for the rest of the 3yr warranty. I called 6/20 to check status and was told they don't have any new monitors to give out. I have to either send mine in for repair or take a refurb. Lesson #2 Get it in writing (email)
Pretty amazing that one of the world's largest electronics companies cannot find a new monitor to replace a defective unit that they shipped. Bottom line for me is that I won't ever purchase another product from Samsung since they won't stand by their own replacement policy. |

Well, I have only had this Monitor for about a Month but so far so good. I use this monitor for gaming, and it looks awesome! No slowdowns at all. I was using a 17'' CRT, and was a little concerned about slowdowns but the monitor performs beautifully. I'm not using the rotation feature as I do not have the room for this on my desk (a shelf is above the monitor), but installation even without the included software was a breeze. Win XP Pro installed it without any problems. A great Monitor. |

I purchased this monitor back in Oct.2006. Since owning it I had to return it two times in a row because I had a line of dead pixels on each monitor, similar to BuildMyDat review. Start having problems within the first 5 months of use. The third replacment that I'm using now EVEN has a dead pixel.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PRODUCT! |

I got this monitor in July 2006, I loved the screen size and the resolution. It is a great monitor and the price fron Tiger was awesome. I was influenced to get a Samsung because I use a 17'' Samsung LCD at work.
6 months into use I noticed 1 dead pixel. 9 months into use I get a sold line right across the screen. Not too happy with the fact that Sumsung is sending a refurbished unit as a replacement. They only replace with a new one if mine had busted within the first 3 months. |

I bought this monitor for $320, and it was well worth it. The priced dropped $40(with rebate) a week after I bought it, so now I think it's an even better value. I do 2D and 3D graphics, video work, and gaming, and it performs very well throughout. The rotation feature is extremely nice(if it applies for you), and the control buttons and included software are both great. Highly recommended. |
