I thought I was getting a bargain, but there's a few things that bug me about this switch.
First, the three USB ports only show as 1.1, not 2.0 as I had expected for something as new as this. Second, since the cables are not integrated, it takes up quite a bit of room. Cables jut out of three of four sides, making placement a bit tricky. The included cables are nice though, as expected from a company with 'Cables' in their name. Also, I kept my PS/2 adapters as the switch happens faster than when keyboard and mouse are plugged into the USB ports. If I plug my printer into one of the USBs, my laptop and PC ding-dong when I switch, and don't ever switch until you finish your print job. I also had issues with multi-boot OS options in that I could not select, even though the keyboard works to enter and edit BIOS options. It used to, but I reboxed my PC and that function disappeared, so I'll have to look that one over more later. I might opt for a more compact unit next time.

I bought this KVM switch after carefully looking through dozens of reviews online and seeing lots of positive reviews, I thought it would be a solid solution for switching back and forth between my main machine and other machines people would bring into me for troubleshooting/repair.
What a piece of junk! Initially it worked great, but after about 3 hibernates or restarts it completely quits and nothing short of a hard boot and removing the switch while the keyboard & mouse are plugged back into the motherboard USB / PS/2 ports will get it working right. It had great switching speed, the fastest I've ever used, but the video was also VERY murky on my 19'' LCD, though I fixed that for the most part by choosing composite synching. Beware, the USB ports are 1.1 and that is stated NOWHERE on this site, so they are horridly slow for device sharing beyond keyboards & mice. Get a cheap IOGear KVM!

I'm very happy with this product. The performance is excellent, and the setup is truly plug-and-play. Also, I was unaware when I purchased it that only one upstream USB connection was necessary for each computer - the conversion from PS/2 keyboard to laptop USB was an unexpected bonus.

This KVM switch is brilliant!! Installed with no problem at all on windows XP. The best thing is that there is no audio inputs, so I can listen to virgin radio on my PC, while working on my laptop, over my work VPN.

Recieved the USB KVM in 4 days of ordering. Setup was very quick for my Linux, XP box, LCD and remote ps2 keyboard and mouse. Works perfectly! The Linux on boot up can't detect the keyboard and mouse for a second or two, but then it kicks in. USB sharing is sweet! I don't need to plug that usb printer into a printer router! Memory sticks too! Good deal! Remember this one has USB & PS2 not just one or the other.

I just received this USB KVM switch. It is fantastic. I use it to share a monitor between a work issued WIN XP laptop and my home PC, also WIN XP.
It was very easy to install, required no additional software, and perfoms very well.
Also, the device is much smaller than I expected so it does not require much space.

I just received this KVM, and it was an effortless installation to connect two of my Debian GNU/Linux (etch) workstations. My USB keyboard and mouse connected via PS2 adapters to the switch work just fine, and the switching latency from one machine to the next is lower (faster) than some more expensive KVM's I've used. It's nice that the keystroke sequence to switch isn't a four fingered operation -- it's just [scroll][scroll] then [1] or [2]. Nuthin' to it.
This KVM is a great value.
