Wasted money...poor performance as in USB 1.1.
I accidentally stepped on my Sabrent card-reader that I used for 5 years and had to buy a new one. I went for this Gear Head one thinking it was going to be the same item I had before as they all look very similar. Oh boy was I wrong, huge mistake. It works intermittently, the drive letters come and go. I tried all of the cards that my camera uses just fine... When I get to transfer some pictures, the performance seems like in USB 1.1 (And I am using the USB 2.0 ports on the back of the mobo). This is not worth me shipping it back.

Total junk
Bought 4 of these for something small to transfer files quickly to my computer from multiple compact flash cards. Build quality is cheap, with the CF card only going in about 2cm into the reader, but the big thing is that ALL 4 cards disconnect and reconnect in the middle of transfers, wrecking the transfers. Not recommended at all.
