From hardcore charcoal to electric
I have been smoking meat for several years along with my father. We always used charcoal and woodchips. I was very skeptical of the electric smoker as when you are good at smoking then people expect that quality from you every time. I've so far smoked a Boston Butt, a couple of turkeys and a couple of roasts. I must say that the product came out way better than expected. You do have to nurse it for a few hours putting in your chips but once you've got about three hours of smoke you can set it and forget it until it's done. The remote control is awesome and the meat probe is even better. No heat loss by opening the door. Even the way you load the chips conserves the heat inside. Well built product. I would give the thumbs up on this electric model. Made a believer out of me.
