boss card
this vid card is awsome to say the least, runs games like a true champion should. a bit pricey but worth it. it will change the way you play games! never have to worry about setting your details lower with this baby... just max it out!

7970 has nice horsepower and easy to overclock
My previous card was the solid performing 5850, it would run Battlefield 3 on a single screen. However on an Eyefinity (3x) setup it could barely crank out 20fps. Installing the 7970 I was immediately able to run BF3 on 3 screens at 3x (1920x1080). After testing I found that for a playable setting (60fps or above) meant running at Low settings. I then read that basic overclocking the card was as simple as adjusting a couple of sliders in the Catalyst Control center - and the clocks can be increased greatly. Retesting I noted a jump of at least 8-10 fps with just this basic overclock. That translated to jumping up into Medium settings and still getting 60+ fps. I can't wait to see what it does on a more detailed OC. Very happy so far. You certainly pay for the card, but it is a beast....
