Great GPS for its Price. Although Hardware may be a bit outdated compared to others. This unit was stolen from me weeks ago. I just recently upgraded to the Nuvi 755t. Comparing the two is like apples and oranges but I did notice a few things. The 350 sometimes takes longer to get a signal from a cold start. Very inconvinient at times. Even with the map upgrade there were destinations that did not show up even after being around for one to two years. Other than that its a great GPS for the price and would reccomend it for budget buyers.

I just bought this unit direct from the store and feel that I would be lost without it. I am delivering groceries in downtown Toronto and have no idea of the streets, But this unit has been great for getting me around even when traffic is backed up I just hit the detour button and within seconds it gives me a new route. Also with new streets or subdivisions that it does not have once I enter them as a favourite in the memory it will take me back to them streets No problem. This is probably the best investment I have made in a long time, You figure a map book costs 50 dollars and you have to buy a new one every year where this has free updates yearly. Never mind the time I save by not having to stop for ten minutes reading the toronto map book for my next stop. I am new to this job and there is guys that have been there for years that dont get their route done as fast as i can because of time saved. Thanks again Tiger Direct I absolutely love this unit.

I've bought more expensive units in the Garmin line (Nuvi 660, Nuvi 750) (and returned all of them) and came back to the 350.
As long as you're content with maps of just North America, this puppy will get it ALL done for you. You don't need anything more, and the beep/alert tones preceding the voice prompts are great. The more expensive units don't have them.

I tell ya, Tiger does it again! I ordered my nuvi350 on 05/07/08, got it 05/09...very fast shipping. Powered up right away and I was testing it out in less than 10 mins. Very accurate w/directions, love the turn by turn and that it says the street names too--also calls out directions very loud and clear. Did notice that it didn't realize that some streets had been changed around or was able to pick up on new housing developments that had just finished being build in my area, but I'm sure my update I recently did will take care of that. Overall, this GPS is great system to get at a really good price.

I ordered the Nuvi from Tiger and got it two days later. When I received it I powered it up and right away saw that there was a problem with the screen. It was usable, but there was crearly an issue with the device. The issue I had was when you first boot the GSP there were some lines going across the screen and then they faded and then came back. You were still able to use the device, but I knew something was wrong. I called Tiger about 30 minutes after I received the unit and told them about the issue. They gave me an RMA number and emailed me a Pre-paid UPS shipping label to return the unit. I received the replacement on Monday and I shipped out the defective unit on the same day.
Right out of the box the new Nuvi worked great. No issues with the screen. It looked good and worked great. I updated the maps and downloaded some cool cars from the Garmin site. I wanted to give my Nuvi a little spice of customization.
Over all the Nuvi 350 is great. Battery life could be a bit better.

I have been using this device for about 2 months now and I am very pleased with it.
Some of the good points are:
-Very accurate positioning
-Easy to use
-Great battery life
-Good listing for POIs
-Size
-Auto on/off feature
Some of the less then great features:
-Slow boot up time
-Takes a while to find position when first turned on.
All is all I am very pleased with this device. I leave it in my wife's Jeep most of the time, but with the grea battery life and size I can easily pull the device off of the mount and throw it in my truck. With the good speaker volume I can program in my destination and leave it laying on the seat and just follow the voice directions without ever taking my eyes off of the road.
I have not used some of the multimedia features like the MP3 player. With a XM receiver and MP3 player in my truck, I have not found the desire to load any songs onto the device. I would rather have seen bluetooth pairing instead of the multimedia features.

I bought a while ago. The 350 works great, I love using it. It finds just about any place, including some very small places. It is pretty quick to calculate directions and is able to communicate them very well.
