IDE drive required but not stated anywhere
I bought this for a sata drive I was going to make portable. No where in the description does it say that this is for an IDE drive.

very pleased
I bought this enclosure to put my 80 Gig 2.5 IDE drive in and it fit great.I loved the fact you can exchange dives in all different combinations. like USB to IDE, USB to SATA, USB to IDE+SATA,USB+ESATA to SATA, USB+FIREWIRE to SATA and it comes with a driver & utilities disk you can choose to install,but not really needed.Only grip is I wish they would of used metal or aluminum ends instead of the plastic ones.But then again it was only $10 buck.It also has two USB ends on one end of the USB cord for extra power to run your SATA drives that require the extra boost.

Ordered 2 and both are bad
the board and chips looks burnt on both, neither work with new and used confirmed working HDDs 1 can see the disk but OS can't write to it, the event log gets filled with disk error notifications and the copy operation is halted 2 can see the disk but the disk info is corrupted and the OS can't see the disk only the device controller

Some Assembly Required
It's for IDE to USB 2.0, not SATA. It doesn't supply 12V. If you own a tiny IDE drive, or really just want an adapter, then this product may work for you too. I'm using mine as a simple adapter for a regular sized IDE drive. For my purposes, I needed an external 12V power supply also.

Junk
Sure won't fit a Fujitsu drive. When you try to put it together, the end cap pops off; too small for it. Should have known something like this would happen; batting 2 for 2 with masscool stuff.
