Great, definitely audiophilish
Set up on p6-2310 desktop PC with Windows 8. Little funky to set up, as I was using 2 desktop speakers plus a Dell monitor 2-speaker sound bar. Definitely made for the audiophile or knitpicker, as we call them in these parts. All-in-all, a great card & sound is definitely improved over my on-board factory audio.

Sounds great
Worked well right away. No problems installing. Has lots of nice features I'll probably never use because I'm not a gamer. I just wanted a good 5.1 surround card to play music and watch movies.

Works Just like I wanted it to!
Built a new computer and this was a great compliment to it. Allowed me to directly connect my front panel jacks. Am only using it as a basic two channel stereo output.

Troubleshooting
I received this card today and have spent the past 5 hours trying to get this card to work correctly. It won't seem to identify my 5.1 speakers correctly (thinks sub is FL, Center is RR, etc.) and it changes it's mind on which is which for no apparent reason. Audio is popping and then stops all together until a reboot and then the whole process starts again. I have tried every possible fix from drivers to a different pcie slot, reinstalling and on and on. There isn't really much help on the Creative SB website nor anywhere else online. I have found the same issue, but no fix and the last line is always the original post giving up. This product will be returned ASAP.

Better than Xtreme Gamer
This card is replacing my refurb XtremeGamer. I am very happy with it! I hear things i never heard before in World of Warcraft. I am using Creative 2.1 speakers, these would be great with 5.1 speakers. I have no trouble adjusting base or anything. The presets are nice for gaming, i like FPS with the in game Ambience turned up for WoW. Headphones work great too. Just wish there was a setting for 2.1 speakers.

DO NOT USE DISK TO INSTALL WITH THX
I WAS HAVING A PROBLEM SOME OF THE MUSIC WAS VERY DISTORTED I WENT TO CREATIVES WEB AND DOWNLOADED Creative Labs SoundBlaster Recon3D AND ALL THE DRIVERS ARE IN THERE AS WELL AS THX THAT DID THE TRICK

Good value
I have to say that my expectations were rather low for this card after reading most of the reviews but the price was good on it so I decided to buy. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound quality. I am using it with a 4.1 setup (FR, FL, RR, RL & SUB) and it sounds very good. The software also offers a number of nice settings.
