Great Laptop!!!
This laptop is offers the best bang for the buck in its class. It has a solid construction (business class) and is quite fast. The size is perfect for anyone who doesn't want to strain their eyes reading text. I am able to run all my productivity software without a hitch as well as have fun a stream hd videos. I recommend this laptop to anyone looking for high quality laptop on the cheap.

This laptop is going to work side-by-side with a 5yr old Toshiba. The performance and features make it superior to other models evaluated.

good machine
my first laptop ever, so i have nothing to compare this to, but i like it a lot. the only problem i have noticed is that often when playing videos or streaming anything with sound, when the hard drive is being accessed, the sound gets choppy, then returns to normal when the HD is done being accessed. So, only for a second every several seconds. don't know what that is about but it can't be normal!

Great Laptop
I originally pitted all the laptops within this price range against each other. Some of them had nicer HD graphics as this one isn't great. The Samsung was the nicest, but the screen hinges were flimsy and the keyboard didn't seem strong. There were pluses and minuses for each one. When it came down to it, the HP was the most durable, most attractive, had most features, had 4 USB ports (1 3.0 and 3 2.0)and was overall the winner. It also has the best sound system, hands down. Most laptops are hard to hear but this one has full range sound. Very big plus. Took it out of the box and was surfing wifi in minutes. Easiest setup ever. Processor does seem a little slow when running many tasks at the same time but otherwise seems plenty fast. I am happy with my purchase and hope this laptop will last a long time.
