Great value and snazzy design
This laptop is a great alternative to a Macbook Pro. Although it doesn't have the top-to-bottom design advantages that Apple products do, it has a sleek appearance, is appreciably quick to boot up, and is capable of playing most games if you want to. One word of caution - the switchable graphics can be an issue if you are planning on playing games that use OpenGL, so keep that in mind. Other than that, this is a great laptop at a great price.

Nice laptop with a few caveats
I am pleased overall with this machine. Pros include a nice matte screen, high resolution, backlit keyboard, quick boot times, and fast performance (the express cache does seem to make a difference from purely objective point of view). It can handle less intense games and can even play SWTOR at 1366x768. It is aesthetically appealing even if a little cheap feeling due to the plastic bottom cover. A few small cons: I replaced the Broadcom wifi chip with an Intel 6230 chip due to the well-documented issues with the original. Signal was terrible, speeds of 0.1-0.2mbps down on my 15mbps fios connection. With the intel chip the wifi is flawless. A really terrible design oversight. Also, the heat exhaust vent is under the hinge of the display and the top of the keyboard and bottom half of the display get very hot when doing anything graphics-intensive.

Happy owner
Most of my expectations have been met: booting speed is excellent (for windows), screen is quite crisp, bright, non-reflective; backlit keyboards (adjustable) layout and feel is great; construction seems sturdy but light and sleek. Best when used with bluetooth external mouse than the huge touch-pad to avoid jumpy pointer and cursor. Battery power is not as impressive as I expected. Overall, I am a happy owner.
