Given that it isn't made from real leather, the price tag is a little steep by a factor of about one-third in my opinion, but the build quality is good otherwise. My one big problem with this is a basic design flaw. The elastic bands in the corners are really tight, which serves well to keep the unit held in place securely. But connecting the USB cable to the unit requires completely removing the Digimemo from the portfolio because there is no access hole in the fabric to stick the connector through, so the tight bands make file transfer fairly inconvenient and annoying. Basically, you're sacrificing convenience and ease of use in favor of safety and protection. I haven't had it long, but so far I am satisfied with it overall. Rather than the 270 degree zipper, they should have left it open on 3 sides and used a latch made with a snap, velcro, or a buckle instead, leaving the top open for USB cable/port access.
