Bought this projector back in March 2006 but only installed 2 weeks ago.
I paired it up with a Stewart 92” screen a Rotel receiver, Integra universal DVD player and 5 B & W speakers.
The result is really awsome; it surprised even the installers that hooked up the system. They said that the picture quality is like projectors that cost 5 times as much.
Great picture out of the box and for the price you pay you really cant go wrong.
Highly recommended!!!

I want to thank Philip.Savoury at Tigerdirect.ca for his help to evaluate this projector.
I purchased this projector because I was not satisfied with the optoma 745, so I A-B compared with the optoma. Though the optoma 745 is a dlp single wheel presentation projector and is less money than the pananasonic PT AE900U, which is a dedicated home theatre 16-9 LCD unit. The projector has 3 glass panels, RGB and this results in rich saturated colors. I found the blacks as good as the dlp unit, and the resolution and focus excellent. It is probably not fair to compare the two. The 2x zoom lens and the shift are easy to use. My only complaint is that the remote sensor is in the front making the remote control difficult to use. I am going to try placing a miror so I can use the remote from the back or the side.

I bought this projector last September after doing a lot of research on dlp and lcd, and I couldn't be happier with my choice. I love movies, cartoons, and video games, and all 3 look amazing with this projector. I don't know about now, but at the time it came out this was hands down the best buy out there for its price range. I highly recommend it.

We've been very happy with this machine. We primarily use it for home theater viewing on a 7' by 4' projector screen. The WXGA resolution works great, and 1100 lumens is bright when the lights are out. When watching movies there are no discernible pixels on the screen. The picture is smooth and sharp. Color is excellent, and the sRGB lets me watch our digital images with good color rendition.
My only complaint is that it does not have any audio output connections, so we have to connect from the source to our speakers even if we are using the HDMI input.

This is one of the best projectors money can buy. I would recommend it to anyone. I matched it against ''Runco'' Reflection CL-420 Projector who are pioneers in making projectors and it blows that away hands down. Using it on a fixed 92 inch flat mount DALITE, HD screen with Kilpsch 5.1 surround sound system. It simply kicks ''ASS''

3 weeks of using this projector and I am in love. Painted sheetrock 54'' high by 96'' wide projecting from 19' in a light controlled room. It is like being at the movies without the distraction of other people. S-video source (Direct TV) provides a great picture and HDMI from upscaling DVD player is magnificent. I am trying to convince my wife to not buy a 37'' LCD tv and buy another projector. IT's Fabulous!!!

Bought projector last week, installed over the weekend. Very easy to set up (used the component connection to my receiver). The picture on this projector (projecting to a 100'' diagonal screen at about a 10.5' throw distance) is amazingly sharp. I watched some movies on HD cable in 16:9 format and had to keep reminding myself I wasn't at the movie theater. I would recommend to anyone.

Purchased this Projector Mid November 2005. Very happy with this unit, no digital artifacts whatsoever. Best setting for viewing in my opinion is Cinema 2 for regular movies, Cinema 3 for cartoons. I'm using a self-made screen. De-interlacer is good and this projector looks fine with my ancient DVD player (that does not have progressive scan output) For best audio, I recommend a good receiver and a dvd player with a digital audio output. Our audio is good from the DVD player, but better with the digital audio from the satellite dish. DVD's look excellent, and regular TV looks good too.

I have only had this for 2 days, but I love it - I had a 1024x768 2500 lumen projector, and this looks almost as bright to me. My previous unit was DLP and I was hesitant to buy an LCD, originally I was going to do a BENQ 7700, but after reading about 100 reviews that said it was awesome, but the bulb blew, I went for this. I am really happy I did - no screen door effect at all, color is awesome and the native 16x9 is sweet with many aspect modes that work really well for Television also - highly recommended - I am able to move it closer to my 120'' screen and love the lense shift option.

This is a great projector. It is worth every penny. I am using an Elite 100'' Screen. I have the projector connected to a DVD Player a Satellite Receiver and an X-Box. I would highly recommend this projector to anyone who is serious about purchasing one. You actually get more than what you pay for with this unit.
