I really like the flexibility this drive has to offer. First of all, it burns all popular formats. But secondly, this drive also works with my Mac!! I initially bought this for my home pc to make home movies and do data backup, but last night I got a little adventurous. I have an iMac G4 and recently, the Superdrive in it died. It won't eject at all. So, I figured I'd disassemble the thing and install this new drive anyways to see if the Mac would at least recognize it and eject. Sure enough, it did!! I just made a home movie on DVD-R and it worked great! I highly recommend this drive, especially if you're a Mac user looking to replace or upgrade your existing optical drive.

I've been using NEC DVD burners for a while now, and this drive is a steal at this price. So far it has burned to all media that I've thrown at it, even dual-layer DVDs! Highly recommended!

Works wonderfully but it is very loud. In my opinion you hsould not be able to hear a burner in a case.
