Bench testing a power supply is now simple and comprehensive with Ultra's newest power supply tester. The newest version of this tester is easier to use than ever! Accepting either 20-pin or 24-pin ATX connectors and either 4-pin or 8-pin CPU power connectors, there are test ports for floppy connectors, drive connectors, even SATA and PCI-e! An audible beep tells you if your power supply is powered up and a green LED lights up for each live rail of the power supply. A must for any do-it-yourself PC builder.
Note: This item is not compatible with power supplies over 1000-Watt (1kW).

A must for any toolkit!
The tester is a must have for an computer technician's toolkit. It can save you quite a bit of time in diagnosing power issues. The price isn't bad either!

Works Perfect
I tried it out on my power supply and all of the voltage leds lit up and I knew that was a good power supply. I then tried it out on a second power supply and a minus voltage led would not light and I assumed a bad power supply. However upon checking my power supply info I found out that the power supply did not have a minus 5 volt output so everything was good. The tester is easy to use. Make sure the 20 24 pin plug is plugged in at all times as if not the rest will not work. The tester also looks like it is pretty solid and well built and it is a must own for any computer builder or someone that trouble shoots your own computer when problems arise as power supplies can be the weakest component sometimes. The only question I have is whether it is possible to show a good power supply as per the tester but under load the power supply no longer outputs the proper voltage? Not sure on exactly how the tester tests as to whether a load is put on or not.
