Intel Pentium D 920 Processor
The Intel Pentium D Processor 900 Sequence features a dual-core design with
two complete processor cores that each run at the same speed in one physical
package, featuring Intel Virtualization Technology. Enabled platforms can run
multiple operating systems and/or applications in independent partitions or
environments for improved security and remote mangeability. The Intel dual-core
processor is an evolution of Hyper-Threading Technology. Both enable a multi-threaded
experience for applications written to take advantage of multiple threads, but
dual-core processing brings more resources and computing throughput to the PC.
Dual-core processing allows for true parallel computing capabilities on the
desktop PC platform.
Note: A CPU cooling fan is not included with OEM CPUs, but may be added separately.
The Pentium D delivers computing resources that expand the PC's capabilities and provide platform-level advancements in the form of higher throughput and simultaneous computing. Get the Pentium D processor & expereince outstanding computing for the Desktop and Workstation.

Great Dual-Core CPU! The 9xx series runs cooler and seemingly faster than the older 8xx dual-cores. I've been using one of these since the Jan. 06 release in an Abit AW8 for extensive video and photoshop work, and it was well worth the ''early adopters'' price of well over a third more than what it sells for now. It has run very fast and stable non-stop 24/7 for 10 months now. Experimenting with OC'ing resulted in an easy 20% increase in CPU speed with no stability or overheating issues.(in a well-ventilated Antec SOLO case) If you will settle for Pentium D instead of the newer Core 2 Duo, the 9xx series are the best of the Pentium 4s. One thing worth noting: make sure your motherboard supports Dual-Core processors. The earlier S775 boards with the 915 and 925 chipsets do not support the newer 8xx and 9xx CPUs.

920 D is unbelievably fast..stable..reliable. I used an Intel 945P MB w/1 GIG 667 MGZ MEM, SATA 150 HD & 256K PCI Xpress video card. I had to use dual boot with WinXP Pro64 and Pro 32 because 64 still has driver ( lack of ) support issues. In 64 bit boot mode the 32 bit software work much faster. Internet graphics from DSL pop up sooo much faster. With 750K DSL, Internet Explorer Google graphic comes up in less than a second and faster than any other computer I've ever seen. A bit slower in 32 bit mode. Tiger quickly fixed HD problem when a IDE HD was packaged in a SATA box in 2 days. Tiger paid for shipping to correct problem. Thanks...great service.

Great CPU!! Runs alot cooler than I had expected in my ECS C19A Sli Mobo. Only 23c at idle ant topped out at 43c during a 7 hour prime 95 stress test, and that's overclocked to 3.16Ghz. I can run anything I want! With this cpu and 2GB of DDR2667 ram I can't crash or slow this thing down!!!!

Blazing fast dual core cpu, it lets me burn cd's and play counter strike and record music at the same time. With the asus motherboard, 512ddr2, it will do anything you want.
