This hard drive is extremely fast. I got it for $50 and i'm very glad. It is spacious and fast, so you be sure to fill it up quick. SATA-300 is like a dream. It's amazing. It puts IDE to sleep. |

This is the best HDD i've ever owned. It's quiet and extremely fast. Not to mention it's only $60 and it's SATA 300. Highly recommend it. After this experience i've decided to never buy a ide hdd again. |

Bought this drive for a new build. Easiest physical installation I have ever had for a hard drive. Total load time for XP Pro from initial boot to cd to complete at the desktop was less than 8 minutes (Last system build with a dma 133 eide drive was nearly 40 minutes). Boot time from scratch has gone from 79 seconds (complete including A/V and 3 utilities) to avg of 34 seconds. This is bonafide able to work time.
Very quiet, very stable, and benchmarks are off the hook compared to my old eide system. |

Windows Vista , Windows XP Service Pack 1 or Windows 2000 Service Pack 4 are required. This
issue does not affect SCSI hard drives.
