Nothing wrong with it, just wrong pin config
There is nothing wrong with this adapter, it just wasn't the correct pin config. (i.e., not the product's fault). But it sure won't hurt to have it on hand, so I'll just keep it (surely we'll run into needing both DVI-D and DVI-I adapters!)

Use Video Card to Run Two DVI Monitors
My video card had one DVI and one VGA output and I wanted to run duel monitors but both were VGA. This adapter resolved my problem. Both are up and running great.

video cable adapter male pin config
The video cable adapter male pin config did not match the picture. I had to return the adapter since I couldn't use it.
