I play battlefield 2142, Company of Hero's, and music and DvDs. The overall improvement in the sound is very noticable. I also have Creative 5.1 Speakers (5 sattelite one boomin' subwoofer). The things this card does is just in-frickin-sane. I reccomend playing Doom 3 with the lights off. Battlefield 2142 really shows off what the card has.

Love this card...did have to pull out a CD-RW Drive but there is a DVD-RW Drive right below it. Sounds great, have the Optical output to an Onkyo 5.1 Home Theater System with the computer connected to a Sanyo Z4 Projector shooting onto a 100'' Screen...having this sound card helped in making my own movie theater experience. And there's a ton of features to play around with. If you're looking for just something to power your 5.1 or 2.1 computer speakers you dont need this level of a card, but for something like my setup its key. |

I would have given this SoundBlaster straight 5's, but there is a couple of things that I did really care for, for 1 the control knobs on the front, get rid of them, you don't need them, the slider in the program software or your volume control on the task bar and yes let's not forget about the remote is more than suffiecent. Even thought some will like it, I would have perfered to leave my door on the case. Number 2 Creative Lab could have put in a second jack adaptor for us gamers for our headsets using earphones and mikes.Other than that it is a fantastic card,I just installed it. Installation was easy, as a matter of fact it was hard taking of the door, and so far the software is working great. If Creative Labs work out these little bugs with the knobs, jacks and come down a little on the price, even though for what you get it isn't all that bad, it would hgave been all 5's. Thanks |

do not get this card it's a wast yes it work's
and sound's real nice but you can pay 100$ for the same card with out all the front panel and all and get the same sound for midi it's got a delay the front panal do's not work in cake wolk and other program's like sonar and all
it's got mic/lan 1/1 and 2/2 and all the program's pic up 1/1 not 2/2 that is front pana
so if you trying to make a cheep or nice sound studio m-audio or something els if your going for soun d for music gameing thin get the card with out the front panal that is 100$
i got mine installed it find's out you need windows xp sp2 this card will not work in windows 2000 nt or vista and the card is a pain in the but to install setup and get everthing ready for work i am a cgi artest i make 3d art moree less with in maya i work for band's for the past 11 year's i desided to try and build a home studio
this card did not work m-audio i got 3 hour's ago set up 15 min's later i got everthing working |

Card installation is quick and easy. Windows drivers installation a bit long but simple. Sound quality is excellent, the best i've seen without going into the 400$-500$ professional cards. The applications bundled in are great but a little unstable at times but all in all a great purchase. |

this card is just awsome, great sound in games and will raise FPS in game by about 10 or so, FEAR went from a 56 adverage @ 1650x1050 full everything AA AF..ect to a nice 67 FPS with everything for audio turned on. just make sure to disable onboard sound. |
