First I need to respond to the review by Tony and TB. First of all, the Creative EMU is a professional recording software and hardware PCI card-based setup. It does not support EAX for games and it is not centered or created around movies either. The EMU series is not going to be the card for games or movies on your computer so there is no comparison because the cards are not the same. And they are not created for the exact same purposes. This card is the best all-in-one gaming, music and movie card you can buy. Creative has always been the best and always will be in the realm of music, games and movies for the computer. You also have to make good use of this card as it is intended and make sure you have the most up-to-date software drivers and good cooling inside of your computer for the PCI cards as well. Finally, no one in their right mind is going to spend 500 to 2000 dollars for any card for these purposes. The sound and creation of effects from this card is without a doubt #1! |

Heres the deal. While this card is cool, creative makes better cards. EMU (which is creative) has a much higher caliber of cards for about the same price. More features and better support. If your looking at this look at the EMU first. |

put some headphones on and set it on 7.1 make some adjustments with eq.3d & crystalizer , then set it on theater mode you have the baddest headphones around, this card is worth every dollar
and movies sound {totally wicked man}and thats just with the headphones |

I love this card,It came with Amplitude and cubase,powerfull editing software.I play guitar and when i hooked it up and ran Amplitude which is like having a marshal stack right at your desk top.The sound effects that come out of this thing is amazing.I really like the Stone hall theater settings with overdrive.BLOW MY MIND!!!! |

This card is worth the money. The changes in all sounds was immediately noticed! It is the top in its class with tons of great attributes and even more ways to make professional audio/video production a practical and enjoyable experience! 5 Stars! |

This is a very good card (Great sound quality, virtually unlimited features, etc), can improve performance in games (Battlefield 2, thats about it...more games will take advantage once developers start utilizing the x-ram), and is the best of X-Fi lineup of cards. The I/O console is by far the most attractive one I have seen from creative, and has many knobs to enable/disable many useful features (24Bit Crystalizer, EAX, CMSS-3D, etc) and has ports for connecting your headphones, mic and guitar. The only downside about it is that the price is that this card is sort of priced out of touch with reality which is why I knock down one star. |
