Love this keyboard

I've been using this keyboard for about 5 years now. It's my favorite keyboard ever. Love the trackpad built in and eliminating the need for mouse space on the desk. The key click and ergo angles are hard for some people to get used to but couldn't be better for me. Very good product.

substantial feel

This keyboard has a much better feel than the one that came with my keyboard. I love the wrist rest & the split keyboard angles. It would be nice to have access to a manual to explain the hot keys. The favorites button doesn't seem to do anything. The touch pad seems oddly positioned, right in the center, which isn't quite right either the left or the right hand. I had hoped to use it instead of a mouse to reduce cramps in my hand, but I find myself using the mouse most of the time anyway.

Great Product - What Happened?

I've used these keyboards forever and love them. But this time they changed things that are ruining my efficiency; i.e., mouse buttons are now directly underneath the touch-pad, instead of on the left side; I can't reach them like before. I can't activate the R-mouse button with my left hand anymore; I have to use my right thumb, which isn't well positioned for that. Not all keys work all the time: the letter ''i'' works only 25% of the time. You can't use shortcut keys like before (i.e., Ctrl plus ''i'' for Italics); the Ctrl key works on one side of the keyboard, but not the other. VERY irritating to NOT have the letter ''i'' or my shortcut keys. Maybe this one was just made badly. Not as pleased as I'd hoped to be this time;

Keys stopped working

I have owned three or four of these keyboards and I love them. the problem is that every one over time develops the same issue. The keys stop working. Sometimes it's only one key but thats all it takes. I don't know why this can't be fixed. Now I am taking out the extended warranty so that I know I will get at least 3 years out of each board. That equates out to about $30.00 a year. Thats not to bad.

So good, I bought another for work

An ergonomic analysis showed that mouse usage was creating problems for me, so I decided to switch to a touchpad. I've been using this keyboard for over a month, and like it so much that I bought another one for my office computer. I am now using nothing but touchpads (with a notebook as my mobile computer). One reviewer felt that the touchpad was poorly placed in the middle of the palm bar. I personally found this placement to be ideal, because my fingers need stray only a few centimeters from the keys. If one is an active writer who is constantly typing, touchpad proximity is very important. Adesso's GlidePoint technology allows for extensive (and useful) configuration of the touchpad through a software interface. The rest of the keyboard is simply superb: well-designed and solidly constructed. I have no complaints or could-be-betters at all.
