Pros: Small, attractive, voltage LCD. Have always preferred TrippLite quality over APC.
Cons: Small for VA?

Great unit, Compact and visually pleasing. This is placed in an open area by the cpu and complements it well. I like the power input display, lets you see the condition of the outlet you have it plugged into. We have a Generator system that Cycles every sunday for an hour. During Cycle up and down the power interrupts briefly, But with this unit the server never goes down. Great unit.

My original unit was defective, but Tripp-lite replaced it at no cost to me. The new one is great - it powers my desktop system, router & modem of 30 minutes. I wish the LCD readout had more features or functions, like measuring output voltage & currents. But still, it's a great value.

Works but case gets very hot.
According to Tripp, unit uses about 1A of power in standby mode. Since the batteries are charged most of the time, the power is coverted to heat. The case gets very warm and in since I have mine in an entertainment cabinet, it just because a 120 watt heating element. I have several UPS units and this is the only one which gets hot. Its a poor design to waste 120 watts of power 24/7. It only takes a couple watts to trickle charge the batteries. Tripp offered to replace it but stated the new one would have the same issue. I would not have purchased this if I knew it put out 100 plus watts of heat 24/7.

I bought two of these one for my stereo system and one for my computer. This is high quality stuff from tripp-lite and I am super impressed. Tiger usually has lowest prices on monitors and lcd's and their customer service is outstanding while they ship lightning fast. They have to be one of the upcoming superstars of internet companies selling electronics.
