This router was installed in a public access hot spot that was having problems with malicious outgoing communications. Since the router has been installed all such outgoing communications have been blocked. Setup was easy and the manual had an example of exactly what needed to be done. The only problem is that the shipped firmware only worked with Internet Explorer, however the update available on U.S. Robotics website does support firefox. |

The name says it all, what would you expect from US Robotics but quality products, and this router is no different. I networked 3 PCs to the internet with this router and cat6 cabling at 7MBs downstream,each Pc has plenty of bandwidth to surf the net with ease and I can download large files with ease. May I say more I am well pleased with the router. Another great product from the people who know networking, US Robotics |

Very disappointed in the product!
If you need remote access to your computer that this router will be hooked up to....than do not but this router.
We have a company we put this router in for and they have a desktop PC. At home I can remotely log onto their server from my home desktop PC.
However, the configuration settings within the router while very simple just not user friendly. We could not get the setting to allow the remote connection. When we finally did, it keep breaking the connection every 24 hrs. We ended up going with a wireless 2 wire router.
Wow what a difference. |

I recently went through a D-Link wired router and a Linksys wireless (only used as wired, don't need wireless). Besides this US Robotics looking the best of the three, it was a straight-forward installation and have had no problems with it in the month I've had it. If you don't need a wireless router this is the way to go. |
