The Fuji Finepix takes great pictures. But be careful to look closely at the ''What's In The Box'' segment way at the bottom of the page. In the ''See How It Works'' flash video at the top of the page it shows a len's adapter ring, len's cap and camera strap as included. These items are not included and will cost you extra, if you can find them. Otherwise I'm pleased to own the Fuji Finepix S3100.

I bought this camera as a ''back-up'' for my ''real'' digital camera, but have found that I am using this cam more and more. Does a nice job and very few people ever have a need for more than 4 megapixels.
Camera has a few ''manual'' controls but should be considered a point and shoot camera.
Auto-focus has trouble at times dealing with low light situations in shots without a lot of contrast.
I paid $79 here at tiger for this camera refurbished, which is less than you would pay at most stores for a ''toy'' digital cam.
Bottom line is, this is a nice camera and a super deal at this price.

Did not come with strap or lens cap. Good camera overall. Takes very good shots, and it's very easy to use. Highly recommended...

When I took my first pic I was like...WOW I love this camera. My friend has a $2000 camera that take wonderful pic, but for a 4MP camera... I was shocked. I would say buy this camera you will not be disappointed. Only thing I would have inclued was a lens cap and camera strap.

I just received my camera and I was very disappointed, no batteries, no lense adapter,no video cable, the selling point was the see how it works video and yes I read the what's in the box statement, however, it refers to parts no longer needed.

I purchased the Fuji S3100 about four to five years ago and have taken at least 20,000 pictures with this camera. The picture quality is fantastic for a 4 megapix camera. The optical and digital zooms work great. I also purchased the optional wide angle and telephoto lenses. They also work great. Best digital camera I have ever owned.

This is a good camera, minor tripod FOV offset. And I got what's illustrated plus the cord cut from the lens cap; but not all of the 'Included accessories' (page 7) are actually included. Most importantly the 'AR-FX3 55mm Adapter Ring'. <<'Getting Ready, pg 7' : ''Mount the adapter ring on the camera at all times.'' ''Mounting the adapter ring on the camera not only blocks unwanted external light but also protects the lens and allows the optional conversion lens to be attached.''>> <<'Conversion Lens Guide, pg 84' :''The adapter ring enclosed with the FinePix S3100 (AR-FX3) should be used with this conversion lens. The adapter rings provided with these conversion lenses (AR-FX9) cannot be used with the FinePix S3100.''>> I understand that Fuji cannot be expected to provide a full set with a refurbished camera because accessories are not always returned with the camera, but destroying accessories and sending the broken pieces to customers seems unnecessarily cruel.

I have had this camera for a while now and no problems. I am a teacher and use it all over the school. It gives great pictures in many different situations. Easy to use. Not best in dark settings more than 20 feet away, but great sport shots and up close stills of nature. Decent battery life with rechargables.

Avoid Fuju cameras. I had the S3000 model. After a year and half it stopped working. I tried new batteries and 2 power adaptors that worked before and it wouldn't turn on. I've searched several forums for others with this problem and it a ramped problem with several fuju models, including the S3100. Fuji hasn’t responded to my inquiries regarding this problem.
