Lots of SATA ports!
It has lots of SATA ports which I love. Status lights are cool but some of them are not explained well in the manual. Like, what is good status, what does flickering mean, etc..

Great, if it works
I built one computer with this Motherboard and everything worked well. I built a nearly identical one later, and couldn't get it to POST. Exchanged for a new identical board and had same issue. Switched all parts from first PC (including CPU) and still wouldn't work. After talking to MSI customer support, I returned the motherboard for a slightly more expensive ASUS from this site and everything worked wonderfully. Thanks guys for working with me on this one.

MSI gotta love em'
Just got my system the other day MSI X79A-GD65 (8D), Intel i7-3920k 3.2GHz, 32GB(8x 4g) of Corsair DDR3 1600MHz, 2TB seagate barracuda HDD and other goodies, and the system runs like a dream, easy setup, the board looks beautiful with all the blue and chrome with blue lights reflecting off of it. Very happy with MSI. only thing they could of done was give it another usb 3.0 header, but one works for now :)

Bleeding Edge Technology
Expensive, but worth it. I have never bought stuff as an early adopter until now, but I needed powerful and I needed it fast. Had first board shipped overnight. Assembled everything; it wouldn't POST. Called MSI tech support; found out I had 2 faulty memory slots; told to return it to TgrDrct. Drove it back to their warehouse; told it would be 5 days to process, then shipped. Oh well, a week shot and overnight money wasted. NOT! Rcvd new board 1.7 days later, overnighted from Atlanta.this site ROCKS. Works like a charm.
