Make sure you buy the right adapter. I mistakingly bought this, when my power supply had 20 pins, and my motherboard has 24 pins.
Since I never used this, I can't comment on how well it works, but I'm sure it works great.

I upgraded my Video Card on my trusty old 865 MB and needed a new Power Supply. Been out of the loop for over a year and didn't realize that the new ones only come with a 24 pin connector. Thank God for adapters. Tigerdirect had this one, so I ordered it and had it in a flash. Works as expected. Thanks for the quick shipping.

Does what it's supposed to. You can easily make your own, but most people don't have the parts to do so, thus It's a good buy. It's not particularly aesthetically pleasing, so it's the kinda thing to use in a closed case. Used this to convert a new 24pin psu to power an old Matx 20 pin Mobo... And it worked.
