Initially, like a few people below this post, I did have trouble with the memory card not registering through the player and sticking out a little too far. This can easily be remedied by sanding down the bottom side of the flash-card a little bit. It works great for me now, the sound quality is decent with my own headphones. There aren't many options on it, but for the price I paid, I'm not complaining. |

Ultra Memory Card is not suitable for product. The pins are not long enough. The Viking memory cards work fine. I see many complaints about the product with the Ultra card. Mine worked fine when I held the card in all the way but this is not an acceptable solution. Remember to format the cards as FAT32. |

The card will not stay in the player for more than 30 seconds, even after electrical tape is used to hold it in. The rubber bands from newspapers seem to work pretty well though. Display screen sometimes only shows half and the top half remains blank. The rebates are totally not worth the trouble, and this player is definitely not worth $70. The rebate for mine was actually 3 different rebates, two of which needed original UPC and invoices. Go figure how I'm supposed to send more than one original. End of story, even if you do get a great deal, it's only on the SD card itself. |

Similar problem to an earlier user. The Ultra 256MB card just would not read, so after a couple of hours of repeated failures, I exchanged it with the same size of card (different brand) from my digital camera, and both work fine now. |

A 512 meg card wont stay in, but the exact same brand 256 meg card will. I have to hold the 512 card down to listen to the music. It did sound good for the price, but the included earbuds are crap - bad sound and rattling in one side. Get some decent padded ones that stay in and have better drivers. Also the stop button is the power button, not the play/pause button. Not very intuitive. Overall its pretty nice for cheap if all you want is a small light basic player. |
