tuner sucks
unable to tune in some local stations no sleep timer if I had seen this in store hands on I would not have purchased looks nice sounds only ok

Big sound in small package
I have owned an older model SoSL stereo for 30+ years, and love the sound quality and gadgety look. This new one is a worthy successor. It won't reach a volume that will take paint off the wall, so if that's what you're after, look elsewhere, but the genuine wood (not particle board) cabinet gives it a rich sound that will pleasantly surprise you every time you turn it on; the seperate subwoofer (the bottom piece) only enhances this. The single drawback is that the analog clock doesn't allow an exact setting of the alarm time, but it gets within about 5 minutes, and for my purposes, that's close enough. Even with big discount, this is fairly pricey, but if your taste or decor call for a retro-look stereo, this one cannot be beat. The cherry on top is that it sounds great too!
