Great Value, Exceeds Expectations

My 20 year old Emerson under cabinet radio finally died. I was having trouble finding a replacement with just the radio, but when I found this refurbished unit with CD at a much lower price than other comparable models, I went for it. I had some trouble setting the radio presets, but otherwise I'm very happy with the purchase.

So disappointed

I was so excited to find a red player for the kitchen, the color is hard to find. After installing it under the cabinet and testing it out, the radio works great, as do all the other features, except the CD player. It would not open, and after it finally did, it would not close. Now it won't open again, making it basically worthless. I'll keep it for the radio, I don't want to uninstall it and deal with the hassle of return. I realize it's refurbished, but all the parts should work. :-(

Missing Part

Received item in original box. One of the mounting nuts embedded on the top of the radio was missing. Minor repair to fix the missing item. Would have liked an external antenna hookup due to poor reception in our area.

Great Deal

This radio was purchased to replace one that cost me $100. It is just as good if not better. Most Under-Cabinet radios cost between $80 and $120. I can't imagine they could be much better than this one. $35 including shipping makes this one of the best buys I ever made.
