If your looking for a video card that is good for basic video then I would suggest this one but if you are trying to play call of duty 4 or anything that has come out in the last year look at buying something like the 8800 or 9800 graphics card especially if your running vista. This card has a tendencey to freeze and stutter while playing games.

Got the card, the documentation is a little light but easy to understand. Stuck in the disk loaded up the drivers, shut down and installed the card. I was back up and running with no problems after 5 minutes. Looks sweet and system runs smoother with it installed. Only input I have is a little more detail on the instructions. I checked the website works not sure what the other reviewer was talking about. My card came with a fan installed and working. Sweet little card and considering getting a second one for an old machine I still have as a nice cheap upgrade for it.

Ordered card to install in a refurbished IBM, also purchased from Tiger, to run an Acer 22'' wide screen monitor. I wouldn't say the software install went smoothly, but after about the thrid try it finally worked. The card is able to support the monitor at full resolution (1680x1050) and full color depth. One of the nice features is the Vtune program. Very easy to use and offers some fairly useful features. I'm not a gamer, so I can not comment on this card's ultimate performance, but for my needs it works like it should......

in no way have i had any problems with this video card so far. to answer phillip2k7's question, if you go to the website of the game you'd like to play, you may find a patch. i've had to do this with Thief: The Dark Project because my video-card would crash the game before i got the patch for it. overall, though, a great value for a great card. i give it all fives. :D

My NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 256 MB, has problem in games and when i choose options pixels like 800x600 or some other it becomes black screen and gives me Out of Range message.. why? pls help ASAP tanxs u very much appreciated.. Here is my email address: plipzide2k7@yahoo.com.ph
