Tried it on 4 different computers, all different manufacturers, all running Win XP. It was recognized as unknown device by all. Went to company site for driver; there is no driver. Contacted company for info, and got none. Finally had to send it back. |

This is excellent. It does what it is made to do. Of course, this hub works with small USB-Powered devices like pendrives, 1-card reader, and those devices. It will not work with Electric Hungry devices like External USB Powered DVD-Burners or USB Powered Hard Disk Drive. I am very happy with this USB Hub. Highly Recommended! |

Ordered it, got it, and plugged it in--using it with an active repeater cable to bring USB over to my treadmill-top desk. Win XP Pro found it, installed it, and it is still working fine. Running my smartphone, wireless keyboard, and web camera through it, and they all seem to be happy. Great buy for the price. |

Works very well, my print runs noticably faster when scanning & printing. No complaints so far.
I've seen some people state that it's under-powered, & my guess is they needed an externally powered hub, which this is not (it's powered directly from the PCs port/motherboard via the USB cable, which has limited power output by virtue of USBs design).
I use a printer, keyboard, mouse and camera on this without trouble. Hi-powered devices such as HDDs & DVD drives would probably require a more expensive unit powered by an AC adapter (hence the name "externally powered USB hub"), but if you're like me and need the port for data use, not for powering hi-draw equipment, this is hard to beat for the price and more than sufficient for both speed & quality. |

Only complaint is that the usb cored is super short. Besides that it does everything you'd expect. |

My emphasis is on price. Almost all USB Hubs work the same (unless their seconds). The difference has to do with (1)number of ports (2)powered vs non-powered and (3)price. For light use a non-powered is good and this one (for the price) has up to twice as many ports as comparable brands. I too bought a similar device at big lots and it failed after several weeks but you gotta realize that big lots and similar stores make their profit on seconds and that's just what those were (thus the different brand name).. As to this one, it's built to spec and for the price, it's a true bargain. |
