Solved my WiFi dead spots.
NetGear XET1001 85 Mbps Powerline Network A Bundle
Good value for a refurb. Plugged one at the router and one at my PC and a reliable connection. Note the adapters need to be on the same electrical circuit.

Not What It Seems!!!
NetGear XET1001 85 Mbps Powerline Network A Bundle
This product only works for extending on item. I attempted to hook up an IP Phone with a built in switch and it would not connect. I also tried using a simple switch and that did not work either. However, when connecting to PC it worked. Going wireless is a lot less trouble.

Worked great right out of the box
NetGear XET1001 85 Mbps Powerline Network A Bundle
It worked great as soon as I hooked it up. I tried it out on my laptop using it as designed and my laptop speeds were the same as if I were plugged directly into the router. I then connected my DVD player using the components and it worked fine, no setup needed at all. I may buy an add-on piece if I need to extend it to another item in the future. I would recommend.

Plug It In Forget It
NetGear XET1001 85 Mbps Powerline Network A Bundle
Used the Netgear XET1001 85Mbps Powerline Adapter to set up a cordless phone system away from my modem using a magicJack Plus VOIP. Works out of the box, it's fast enough and it's plug n play.

Excellent alternative to running cable
NetGear XET1001 85 Mbps Powerline Network Adapter
Plugged one in next to my router, plugged in the other in my son's bedroom on the other side of the house. Solid internet connection on his desktop running XP. Only complaint is the indicator lights are to bright for a bedroom. No software included, don't seem to need any

No Improvement
NetGear XET1001 85 Mbps Powerline Network Adapter
I thought this would improve my speed over my wireless connection. The units connected and no problems activating. However, my speed dropped in half versus the wireless. Tried different circuits throughout the house with same results. Don't know if it's my wiring or the units. Returned them for refund.

What a mess
NetGear XET1001 85 Mbps Powerline Network Adapter
This is my second attempt to submit this review. Bought three which arrived with no software and SN blacked out. You need SN to register item with Netgear. Netgear website out of service for software downloads and customer support. Item works intermittently and is unreliable. Next step is a return if at all possible.
