Does as advertised.
I have had this drive just a few weeks and am happy with it. Really glad to find one with Lightscribe! Cyberlink software that came with it works very well. Quite happy so far. Very happy with TigerDirect on ease of ordering and how quickly I received my drive.

Happy with drive
I wouldn't say this goes above and beyond, since it doesn't cook my breakfast or mow my yard, but it does what it is supposed to and lightscribe seems to be getting harder and harder to find. I will say the lightscribe printing does take some time, but I was happy to find it works with images and not just text.

DON'T UPGRADE THE FIRMWARE!!
I got one of these drives and made the mistake of upgrading the firmware right away which is usually what I do when acquiring a new device. Anyway, after the firmware upgrade the Lightscribe feature completely quit working even though the lightscribe diagnostic utility said there was nothing wrong with the Lightscribe installation. I tried several different pieces of software to write the disc labels; NONE worked after the firmware upgrade. I finally returned the drive, got a new one, in which I did NOT upgrade the firmware and the lightscribe feature is working perfectly. Lite-On needs to upgrade their firmware upgrade to fix this problem as others on the internet had the same experience I did! Otherwise the drive works flawlessly!

Great Drive
The CD drive was easy to install, along with the software. It has been working great, I have not burned any disk so far or used the lite scribe.
