Awsome drive
Very easy and simple to set up. Just plugged it in and window recognized it immediately. I transferred all my HD video without any issues. This unit has a very fast transferred rate which was most important to me. Its very solid and it has very nice design. I recommend this drive to anyone who is looking for a large capacity and fast transfer rate.

Went on fire
This Drive started smoking and I yanked the wires out from the back to try to save the internal drives. With an ATA drive reader, it shows the drives have to be Formated.

Not a great drive
Basically same issues as other users,it works for a few weeks then Windows cannot mount it anymore and I am not able to access my backup files with out having to

NFG
Same problems as the above reviewers. It worked fine for the few months then suddenly wouldn't mount to the desktop anymore. It was formatted Mac OS Extended Journaled. It would show up in Disk Utility but was greyed out in the left side bar. You click repair but it couldn't fully repair the drive. I already had everything backed up so i went to reformat and repartition the drive but was unsuccessful. I use other fantom drives and this is the first one that has given me any issue. Going back to 2TB drives for now..

Defective drive
I have serveral Fantom external hard drives and they work fine. All of them automatic appear on my Mac desktop. Except this 4TG drive. It won't mount or reformat. The error message is: Unable to write to the last block of the device. I tried with different computers with no success to have it erased or partitioned.
