i bought this cpu awhile back and i have been playing a couple of games like the witcher and hellsgate and stalk and FEAR Fear i can only put them on the medium settings but i think its becuz of my graphics cards but i just got twop 7300 512 sli ready and i think it will do really well after that all and all i am really happy with it. |

I have this processor and it is the fastest thing ever. Can make all my games run on max settings. This is the best. I can't say the price because it came on my pc. And all i can say is that it is the best. |

This processor is amazing. I use it with my Asus A8N 32-SLI-Deluxe Mobo, 2 gigs dual channelled PC3200 ram, and 2 GeForce 6800 Xtreme video cards. And I can play all the latest games like Battlefield 2, Quake 4, Doom 3, Call of Duty 2, Half Life 2, F.E.A.R, and Star Wars Empire at War with all video settings maxed with no problems at all. All games load extremly quick(Partially due to amount of ram). I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS CPU TO ANY GAMER OVER A DUAL CORE RIGHT NOW, SINCE GAMES ARE NOT WRITTEN TO USE THE DUAL THREAD OF THE DUAL CORE CPUS. Many people that attempted to use a dual core CPU to run a game have been represented with an error, and the game would not run. Even though the clock speed of the CPU is only 2.4 gigs, it is equivalent to a Intel Pentium 4 clocked at 3.8 gigs (thats what the ''3800'' means). The heat sink and fan that came with it went on with out a hitch, and works perfectly. Finally i would give this CPU a 10 out of 10 because it works amazing for all games. |

I bought a HP Pavilion a1410n with this Athlon64 3800+ and it blows my mind away! I was able to burn entire DVD movie in 30 minutes while doing other tasks such as browsing the internet, check or write emails, do excel programming, download photos from camera and print photos. My father also just purchased a similar Pavilion with Intel Pentium D 940 and it just keeps stopping burning DVD halway even when no other programs are running (only background programs). Had to close most backgroung programs just to make DVD burning work more efficiently. |

Beside been outside US, tigerdirect offer a great service, by the way, this cpu is very fast, I don't need extra coolin' and with an asus a8n sli deluxe I can do a lot of things at the same time, well I also have linux ubuntu 5.1 and as far as I can see everything runs perfect. FOR THE GAMERS I choose this cpu because of the results of an article in www.tomshardware.com called ''the mother of the CPU'' in this you can see that AMD beats INTEL, so the intel fans should open their eyes and see the truth.

Overall, a great chip. For anyone who wants to overclock it, I'd recommend a 3700+ or the 4000+ as this needs an amazingly high voltage to get past 2.6Ghz, but with either water-cooling or phase-change higher clocks are easily reached (myself personally, can hit 2.7Ghz with my Hyper 48 heatsink) |

This is a great chip, but since your already in the $350 price range it might be a little better to spend the extra $50 to get a 4000 with the 1MB catch. Dont get me wrong, with some overclocking ive clocked 31 minute SuperPI times where as, my friends P4 3.2 couldn't break 37. Then again im running 2-3-2-5 ram timings. Also if your overclocking, get the 3700, It looks to me like its the same thing as a 4000 clocked at 2.2 Ghz. |

Very happy with this CPU, even without overclock im doing 33.245 Sec. is SuperPi, runs cooler that any P4, and even with the 2.4Ghz is faster than the P4 660 (3.6 Ghz).
Altough if you are plannig on overclock i would recommend a +3700 or +3500 and you can save a few bucks. |
