This laptop is one of the best I’ve see out there for the price, nothing is wrong with my laptop after I got a bigger memory and a bigger battery. Those are the only things I got extra and the extra battery is if you travel and can't plug it in! But other then that it the best for the money! |

This laptop is a very good buy for the money except for two things that I promise you will want to replace as soon as you get it. One, the battery sucks. I get a maximum of an hour and 22 minutes of battery life on a full charge. Secondly, the amount of RAM is very inadequate. I put another Gig of RAM in and it works great now. I also ordered an 8-cell battery to make up for the crappy 4-cell it comes with. Other than these two things I am very impressed with the ''quality to price'' ratio of this laptop. Great buy. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is having trouble finding a decent laptop at an afforable price. |

I am abivalent about this machine. Battery life is for crap (an hour! sheese!) It's perfectly fine for the price I suppose, when bought on a blowout special they had a while ago. The screen is just so-so, off angle viewing is awful, it's resolution is mediocre (and you can't make it any better it seems!) Gots lots of lights a-flashing on the front and you can't turn them off (?!) what's the sense? Solidly built, but then, it weighs a lot too. And this is all the nice stuff I can say. But, I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth- I got it cheap, it works, and I'm cool with that. |

Wonderful machine unbeatable for the price, built with pride and quality. Battery is a bit weak but can be upgraded, I think it needs 512m ram as standard but it will run any off the shelf business software just fine with the 256m that it comes with. I love the Acer Grid vista feature it enables me to be more productive. |

Bought two machines for our kids (ha, ha), b-day and christmas, you know. After adding another 512MB of memory I was awed! For the money they sure are more than okay. All programs packages I threw at them (MS Office, OpenOffice 2, Photoshop Elements, Picture It! and others) ran ''out of the box''. Love the sleek feeling and modest weight. Wireless works as the machine comes. A tip: The manual does not state that the orange/red wireless activity LED on the front doubles as an on/off switch (same for the Bluetooth LED/switch)! After the machine was powered off you have to turn wireless on with that switch if you need it. And battery life? Hey, one hour is pretty good and outlets are everywhere. Great little machine! |
