Cost Effective Multi-function
Love the quality of Canon printers. Much more user-friendly than hp. This particular model takes a long time to warm up for EACH print. After the warmup, it spits out the pages really fast, but for the next doc it has to warm up again.

Great features but slow performance
This a a very good printer! It took longer than expected for delivery but it was packaged perfectly. The set up was easy to follow and was printing within 30 minutes. I was a little disappointed in the print speed but overall a very good printer

Good printer, prints CDs but expensive ink
The main reason I bought this printer is because I needed to be able to print on CDRs and DVD-R discs. This printer does that very well. It is chock full of other features as well--it scans well, makes copies, etc. and the color printing is first rate as long as you use Canon ink. It has one main drawback--the ink tanks are rather small and run out quickly, and they are not cheap, so your cost per copy will be higher than some other inkjet printers. That is my main reason for not giving it 5 stars in all categories. Also, when first turned on, it can take a few minutes to warm up--leaving it on helps avoid that problem.

Great for hi-tech folks
After removing many pieces of orange tape, This is a great printer. It almost has too many features; my wife (a real non-techie)cannot do simple copies like she used to do on our older Canon. But I can, and I love the color quality and the fact that it has a large paper storage magazine and it's underneath the printer. This is really a neat and tidy unit on a home desk.
